NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
At Eltham Public School, Speical Religious Education (SRE) is delivered on Wednesday from 1pm. A Special Education in Ethics (SEE) program is not currently delivered at Eltham Public school.
On enrolement parents/carers will be given the SRE participation letter to complete and return. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities. After the inital enrolment in SRE should be given to the office, in writing.

During that time that SRE classes are being held, student not attending will remain in their classes and will participate in meaningful activities to consolidate their learning of previously taught content.
Christian SRE is provided by SRE teachers from different Christian denominations and churches. All Chrisitan SRE teachers are authorised and trained by an approved providor.
The Chrisitan SRE curriculum is authorised by Seventh- Day Adventist Church North NSW Confernece. The curriculum is based on Good NEws about Jesus Christ and learning the key elements of our Christian life and culture. Christian SRE engages students in conversations as they question life, explore values and discover faith.
